World Leisure Organization invites applications for Board of Directors 2026-2028 term
The World Leisure Organization (WLO) is now accepting nominations for its Board of Directors for the 2026-2028 term. Up to two new seats are open, as part of WLO’s commitment to geographic, gender, and professional diversity.
What we are looking for:
* Premium members of WLO who hold a degree in leisure studies or related fields (sports, tourism, culture, recreation, hospitality, parks) and have at least five years of professional or academic experience in the leisure sector.
* Strong leadership skills, ability to think strategically, and capacity to expand WLO’s reach among international leisure stakeholders.
* Proficiency in English. Awareness of global trends and challenges in leisure.
Bonus qualifications:
Participation in WLO events, prior publications, nonprofit experience, fundraising know-how, and a good network in leisure, academia, government or industry.

Nominees (or nominators) should submit a nomination form, consent form, a cover letter explaining their suitability, a two-page CV, and contacts for referees. Self-nominations are welcome from Premium Individual Members.
