    The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), located in the heart of Budapest at 42-48 Alkotás Street, stands as a leading institution in physical education, sports science, and recreation studies. Established in 1925, HUSS is Hungary’s oldest and most comprehensive university dedicated to sport, physical education, and active leisure.

    Its main campus, situated in the 12th district of Budapest, features modern academic buildings, sports labs, and athletic fields. HUSS also boasts an outdoor campus at Lake Velence, just 35 km from the capital, offering a unique environment for practical training and research.

    Recreation Department and Vision

    The Recreation Department of HUSS leads the critical study of recreation and leisure and their impact on individual and community well-being.
