Dr. Alixon Reyes
Dr. Alixon Reyes is a full professor at the Adventist University of Chile, attached to the Research Department of this institution. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at this institution, and has been a guest professor at the Universidad Provincial de Córdoba (Argentina), Universidad Peruana Unión (Peru), Instituto de Formación Docente Salomé Ureña (Dominican Republic), Universidad Amazónica de Pando (Bolivia), and Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (Venezuela). She has been awarded research projects in Venezuela, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic and El Salvador, and works in the training of new undergraduate and graduate researchers. He has lines of research in leisure and recreation studies; public policies; teacher training; human motricity. He was advisor to the National Recreation Plan for Living Well in Venezuela (2011-2014), creator of the Master’s Degree in Recreation at the eastern headquarters of the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (Venezuela), and has served as a consultant in similar proposals in other Latin American countries. He has a scientific production of more than 60 published articles, 15 books and 10 book chapters. He has been Director of Graduate Studies at the Adventist University of Chile, Coordinator of Undergraduate and Graduate Research, and has been Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Human Motor Sciences and the Master’s Degree in Public Health. Dr. Reyes is very active at the level of Latin American networks in leisure and recreation, and participates frequently in discussions, forums, congresses, seminars, working groups associated with the field of leisure and recreation, in dimensions such as epistemology of the field of leisure and recreation, training, research, public policies, legislation, among others.
