Multiplicities of leisure: Seeing through other lenses Fieldschool
The ‘Multiplicities of leisure: Seeing through other lenses Fieldschool’ will be based in and around the beautiful and vibrant city of Dunedin, Southern New Zealand, and will take place in the days leading up to the start of the 2023 World Leisure Congress. Aligning closely with the overall theme of the congress (to Learn Well, Live Well), and one of its social impact goals (to make leisure more inclusive), the fieldschool is a learning opportunity designed to provide participants with a greater appreciation of, and willingness and ability to act for, the leisure needs and interests of underrepresented and marginalised communities. As part of this, participants will engage in various leisure experiences and activities offered in and by local communities, including the Māori and Pacifica community, the queer community, and those working to support the leisure needs of people with disability issues.
