The World Leisure Distinguished Service Award seeks to acknowledge individuals who have contributed in a significant fashion through demonstrated leadership to the World Leisure Organization.

Criteria for Selection

General requirements for the World Leisure Distinguished Service Award are as follows:

1) significant and noteworthy contributions to advancing the work of the World Leisure Organization:

2) demonstrated leadership to the organization as reflected in major leadership roles; and/or

3) evidence of continuous and sustained involvement in the World Leisure Organization.

Selection Procedures

The World Leisure Distinguished Service Award nominees will be evaluated on

1) their contribution to the World Leisure Organization;
2) successful execution of leadership responsibilities; and
3) evidence of continuous and sustained involvement in the organization.

Application/Award Procedures

The World Leisure Distinguished Service Award is made at the discretion of the Executive Committee of the World Leisure Organization.
