Breaking Barriers: Inclusive Leisure Education for Social Inclusion
The World Leisure Organization Special Interest Group on Leisure Education (SIG LE) warmly invites you to our upcoming webinar, Breaking Barriers: Inclusive Leisure Education for Social Inclusion, on June 23, 2025, from 1:00–2:00pm CEST. This webinar explores how leisure education can overcome barriers to foster social inclusion, with a particular focus on empowering youth with special needs.
Organized by the SIG LE, the webinar brings together diverse perspectives from Hong Kong and South Africa to highlight the significant connection between leisure education and social inclusion.
Through a blend of a theoretical framework, practical programs, and research insight, our speakers will share strategies to create inclusive recreational opportunities that bring together people with and without special needs. This webinar is ideal for educators, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers dedicated to leisure education and social inclusion. The webinars are designed to be a conversation among the guests and the webinar moderator about a particular issue. YouTube videos are available for each of the webinars. Some of the webinars have also provided background documents to provide more relevant information about the topic.
