The World Leisure Organization (WLO) was pleased to attend FIEXPO Latin America, held in San José, Costa Rica, on June 9–11. The event brought together destinations, institutions, associations, and professionals from across the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions sector, providing a valuable platform for dialogue, exchange, and collaboration.
WLO would like to warmly thank the FIEXPO team for the excellent organization of the event and for creating such a unique and exclusive space for one-to-one conversations with Latin American countries and cities. These meetings represented a tremendous opportunity to engage with key stakeholders in the region and to explore future potential WLO programs, initiatives, and events in Latin America.
As part of the program, WLO also participated in the Association Forum, a dedicated space for international associations to exchange experiences and reflect on shared challenges. The Forum offered valuable insights into the day-to-day realities facing associations, while helping participants identify common interests and opportunities for collaboration.
WLO’s participation in FIEXPO Costa Rica reinforced the importance of strengthening connections across Latin America and continuing to position leisure as a driver of social, cultural, and economic development. The conversations held during the event opened new possibilities for cooperation and confirmed the region’s strong potential for future leisure-related programs, knowledge exchange, and international events.
WLO looks forward to continuing these conversations and building on the valuable connections established in San José.
