Prof. PaedDr. Elena Bendíková, PhD.

Prof. PaedDr. Elena Bendíková, PhD. currently serves at the Department of Physical Education and Sport, Faculty of Education, Catholic University in Ružomberok, Slovakia. She is the guarantor of several accredited study programmes at the Faculty of Education and is recognized as an expert in the development and evaluation of university study programmes. She is a member of the Commission for the Evaluation of the Quality of Academic Publications in Slovakia in the field of Sports Science. In cooperation with the National Institute of Education in Slovakia, she has contributed to the development of several national curriculum documents. She also serves as a World Ambassador of FIEPS (Federation of International Physical Education).

For ten years, she was a member of the Scientific Grant Agency commission of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and she served as an expert evaluator of national projects in the field of Sports Science. She is a member of several editorial boards of scientific journals and scientific organizations and cooperates with the Slovak Archery Federation. She is also a certified health coach holding the highest level of professional qualification.

Her scientific and academic activities focus on public health, quality of life, health-oriented fitness, leisure-time physical activity, general physical performance, and health prevention among children, pupils, female students, women, and female athletes.

As a member of the WLO Board of Directors, she is committed to promoting active leisure through the prism of physical activities among children and youth, advancing public health initiatives, and supporting the organization’s vision.
