The Context:

Meeting the needs of an expanding population of older persons has become a challenge throughout the world. Asia is no exception. Much has been done to address problems of shelter, health and daily care. However, not enough attention has been given to providing for the enormous benefits of good quality leisure experiences for this segment of the population. Thus the purpose of the conference was to examine what is being done, what can be done, and how to do it.
