Structure

The Congress program will be comprised of a variety of events and sessions, formal and informal. There will be an official opening gala on Monday evening, October 21 featuring Stephen Lewis as keynote speaker, and followed by a Malaysian welcoming reception, "Selamat Datang." Plenary sessions are scheduled each day where world experts from several disciplines will speak to one or more aspects of the Congress Theme, situating their views in a leisure context. In addition, there will be panel discussions, contributed paper sessions, special commission events and workshops, site visitations and a number of cultural events.
