Purpose, Goals and Objectives

To promote and develop initiatives that assure the equitable participation and inclusion of all members of the community to play, recreation, and leisure services.

To serve as a mechanism to advocate for policies and programs within World Leisure that focus on access and inclusion

To foster basic and applied research that examines the meaning and impact of leisure and recreation in the lives of people with disabilities.

To serve as a vehicle to ensure that the needs and issues of access and inclusion are addressed throughout the work of World Leisure and its various commissions, committees, and projects.

   

Membership

Current members of World Leisure may indicate their interest in Access and Inclusion by e-mailing the World Leisure Secretariat at secretariat@worldleisure.org. Former members and other non-members may join World Leisure and indicate their interest in Access and Inclusion on the website at worldleisure.org. Members of World Leisure may become active in Access and Inclusion by contacting Interim Chair David M. Compton at david.compton@health.utah.edu.
